OVERCOMING ADVERSITY AND AIMING FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

Wesam is a creative visionary and goal-driven project manager focused on developing different business models to achieve great results and improve projects keen on achieving environmental sustainability.

With a degree in Architectural Engineering, Wesam worked with the Aga Khan Syria Foundation for about five years. The constant threat of her exceptionally different circumstances has shaped Wesam to become a resilient and vigorous professional who had to quickly adapt to working under constant pressure of explosions, terrorist attacks and the uncertainty of her surroundings. She uses her architectural skills to survey any adversity she faces and explores different dimensions to develop the most appropriate solution.

A key turning point of Wesam career happened when she travelled abroad for the first time to do exposure work visit to Aga Khan Agency for Habitat in India. After acquiring new technical skills on green design of social houses, Wesam realized her true passion was sustainability thus moving to Portugal to enrol on Master's Degree in Sustainable Construction and Rehabilitation was her next big step.

Wesam has devoted herself on becoming a valiant professional highly skilled in sustainable design, project management, project execution and BIM modelling with some prestigious architectural projects in the INGO. She has decided to integrate the MBA to multiply career opportunities in the European market and this has been the most exciting journey in her career.
