BUILDING STRONG FOUNDATIONS FOR THE FUTURE

André is a confident strategic thinker, resilient, pragmatic, and result-oriented, determined to achieve excellence with exceptional work potential and talented original work.

He began his career as a structural engineer, being responsible for the structural design of buildings. From his first two-year experience, André highlights the challenge of setting up a structural project for a 100m building in Angola and the valuable experience of being a member of the team.

André joined EDP Produção in 2010 and worked for six years in Foundations and Structures at the Dam Engineering Division. Taking part in highly complex and impactful projects in hydroelectric power plants was a significant milestone for him. In 2017, he coordinated the implementation of the Building Information Modelling (BIM) methodology at EDP Produção. Later on, in 2017, André embraced the role of Area Manager of the Engineering Digital Information Unit where he managed seven direct reports and was responsible for the engineering processes' digitalization of Dam Engineering Division.

Recently André became the Head of Dam Structural Safety, managing eighteen reports with the mission of managing the safety of the structures and their operability with a view to ensuring the normal operation of the hydroelectric assets.

With a friendly, open manner and the talent to communicate effectively, André believes that building relationships with his family, team, peers, and board members are vital to conquer consistent results.
