Ricardo is and experienced Commercial and Marketing Director with over 20 years of experience in various B2B and B2C sectors, such as the chemical industry, construction materials, plastics/furniture components industry, publishing and the banking/consumer credit, with an international career path.
With a degree in Economics, Ricardo's started working early in life and went through university while working a full-time job. His diverse skills range between Business Strategy and Planning, Marketing and Sales Management, Leadership, Team Management, and Business Development. For the past nine years, he has had the chance of working in the exporting sectors, doing business with companies from all continents.
While working in Credifin (currently Cetelem), Ricardo developed the first and most complete credit and leasing simulation tool for auto dealers and retailers. As Marketing and Sales Assistant Director at Porto Editora, he designed and implemented several strategies that helped the company become the leading literary publisher in Portugal. In Probos Plasticos SA, the third biggest edge banding producer globally, Ricardo increased sales of the firm's most crucial account from 2 to 10 million euros. At Revigrés, he designed and started implementing an ambitious plan for international business growth, including recruiting and forming a new international team.
As the Comercial and Marketing Director at Indulatex Chemicals, a leading Portuguese dispersion adhesives producer, Ricardo is designing and implementing a 5-year plan for rapid business growth, including creating an entirely new brand for the Construction Materials sector. Ricardo loves leading people in the quest for business growth and solving problems to improve processes, particularly in intellectually challenging.
Currently with the position of Sales Director - Industry Europe & Middle East at Amorim Cork Composites, Ricardo has the challenge of leading growth in an ambitious world leader company in one of the world’s most sustainable industries.
