PRAGMATIC WITH A KEEN EYE FOR OPERATIONAL SUCCESS
Joana is resilient, dynamic, authentic and proactive, with excellent communication skills and very diplomatic sense, oriented towards people and relationships.
She began her career in RIS2028, an IT company dedicated to Management Software. Two years end, she moved to Spain, and start worked in Grupo Siro, a Food Industry with several businesses inside and outside Spain. After just nine months, Cerealto Siro Foods invited Joana to work directly with the Chief Financial Officer, monitor a 'Pastificio' company in Italy, and manage the company's business plan, presentations to banks/administration, and monthly sales reporting. Joana led by a Director with a unique profile and skill set, a high level of creativity, and guided by an 'out of the box' thinking when managing teams and working in high-pressure environment.
After two years in Spain, Joana decided to return to Portugal and started at Valente Marques S.A., a rice company founded by her grandfather. She was responsible for implementing the Portugal2020 program, and has become responsible for the exportation department, fair participation, prospecting new markets, and managing international customers. Managing relationships in a family business is a crucial success factor, and Joana firmly believes that people are the greatest asset of any business.
