THE DRIVE FORCE BEHIND TEAM DEVELOPMENT
Sérgio is always looking for innovative solutions and is recognized by his resilience, foresight, organizational and analytical skills supported by an independent decision-making nature and years of expertise developing and leading projects.
His professional life has been mainly linked to Modern Distribution (FMCG) and consolidated by his vast experience as a purchasing department head in shared services. Sérgio began his professional career in Portugal, in the operation of the modern distribution. However, he always felt the urge to experience international opportunities in different cultures to learn with them. After nine years of experience in Angola, building the most prominent brands of modern distribution, Sérgio returned to Portugal a year ago.
In his last three experiences, he designed business models, price and market positionings, took part in negotiation development on international scenarios, supply chain, and cost structure models. He also had an active role in the country's development and personal team development.
In the past year, Sérgio has been working as Head of Buying Office and Head of External Markets, adding to the development of one of the top 5 PME of Portugal.
Sérgio stands out due to his determination to achieve results, a business and sales strategy mindset, negotiation and project management skills, purchasing processes/supply chain, and team management. Since he embraces positions in the shared services, Sérgio presents good results to the company with sustainable business strategies to deliver maximum cost-value to the client. He also has a deep motivation to improve himself personally and his knowledge by remaining aware of the market, trends, and better ways to improve the business.
