DRIVEN BY A STRONG SENSE OF INTEGRITY AND SUSTAINABLE GROWTH

With a solid professional career of 19 years in Finance and Management Control, Daniela has collaborated in several organizations, performing on support and financial roles, empowered by her excellent analytical skills, ethical sense, versatility, and track record of achieving results.

Daniela graduated in Economics and started her professional activity through an internship at RANGEL Group. A few months later, she got promoted to the Management Control Department, allowing her to work side by side with the Group Financial Director, who later changed to General Director of one of the companies and invited her to continue collaborating with him. The shift from Finance to Business allowed Daniela to gain a more profound and overall insight into the needs and challenges of the different divisions. Later she joined SONAE, in 2010, as a business analyst for Sport Zone, a rewarding experience that introduced her to a completely different business sector (retail), enabling her to get in touch with more complex routines and management styles.

In 2012, she received an invitation to become the Financial Director of OLICARGO, a freight forwarding company (transports & logistics), which opened her to an entirely new range of concepts and challenges, particularly the need to lead a team. With the company's exponential growth and its internationalization, she became Head of Management Control, built a team, and began providing support, reports, and performance analysis to the Board and business areas. In late 2017, she also coordinated a global and cross-functional project to implement Microsoft Power BI as the only reporting tool for the entire Group. In 2018 Daniela was invited to be the Group's CFO, being responsible for 3 areas: Finance, Management Control and HR. In 2020, the Group had a national and international presence (Angola, Mozambique, China, and Spain) with more than 200 employees.

After eight successful years, and with a sense of mission accomplished, Daniela knew it was the right time to invest in a new professional challenge and is actively engaging her energy in new activities and on this EMBA.
