Diogo Bezerra | The Digital MBA
ANALITICAL EXPERT WITH A HOLISTIC VIEW OF THE PROJECT CYCLE
Diogo is a Project engineer with extensive experience in large projects (>100m€) in both the O&G industry and Civil Construction, having worked in four different countries (Portugal, Norway, The Netherlands, and Brazil). He also integrated several project teams with assigned multi-disciplinary roles, covering several stages within the project execution life cycle, from front-end engineering and design to installation in the field.
He started as a structural analyst in a reputed design office in Porto, integrating the special structures department and contributing to multiple international projects with recognized architects. During this period, while embracing teamwork routines and working under pressure, Diogo used his analytical skills to focus on finite element methods and the development of analytical tools. In 2012, Diogo moved to Norway to start a new oil and gas industry career as a subsea technologies and operations engineer at Equinor (former Statoil).
Since joining Equinor, he has had the opportunity to participate in multiple multinational subsea pipeline and platform projects at different geographies and cover the whole project execution life cycle. Diogo has developed both technical and managerial skills with leading roles for large scale projects, making use of his holistic problem-solving skills to develop solutions to increase efficiency and breakthrough obstacles in different projects, leading to savings in the order of tens of millions of dollars and recognition from multiple stakeholders both within the company as well as external. Recently, he has been allowed to transition to a Department Leader role within the company, responsible for competence development and resource allocation for multiple projects and the implementation of improvement projects within the project development business area.
Diogo values teamwork and collaboration among stakeholders and believes that success, both in work and life, relies upon an open and transparent, trust-based relationship with everyone.
