SAILING HER WAY TO PROJECT OPTIMIZATION

Owner of a unique combination of high-performance mindset and broad experience, Joana’s journey is brimmed with personal and professional achievements and an outstanding track record.

After completing her studies in civil engineering, Joana decided to improve her education with a management course at Porto Business School. This major step had a significant influence on her transition from Porto to Setubal to manage a 30 people team, regarding human resources, activity and stock management in logistics at Decathlon.

Then, in 2018, Joana embraced the opportunity to invest further in her career in stock management at Parfois while aiming to optimise commercial shops’ product distribution, reducing losses and boosting sales. Later on, Parfois gave her a bigger international challenge: to be responsible for opening new shops in Eastern Europe, Africa, Asia and South America. This experience swayed Joana to enrol on a post-graduation course in order to better understand international markets and shaped her to able to work with very tight deadlines, in extremely high demanding areas and also amplified her ability work across different countries and cultures.

Throughout her life, Joana had the opportunity to compete on high-level European and World Championships and was a National Champion multiple times with different types of boats. It was through her impressive sailing athlete career that she acquired a strong teamwork ethic, the determination to focus on process optimisation, multi-tasking skills and the ability to drive results that she brings to the service of her profession to ensure the success of any project she is involved with.

Currently, Joana is a member of a distinctive boat team focused on becoming 2021 World Champions.
